Iced Coffee Follow Up

I had a friend of mine on facebook make me realize that I may have left out some helpful information from my last post.  So, I am going to post the conversation I had with her for your convenience and hopefully, if you had the same questions, it will answer them for you, not to mention her great Keurig idea! Enjoy..

Here she is referencing the last post..Iced Coffee Recipe..

Heather:  Love it but I don't want to buy the containers and cloth... I'll be lazy and just brew my (Starbucks dark grounds) in my keurig...over and over and then just keep it in fridge till cold then add my creamer, ice and (like you) into a mason jar!

    Love the keurig idea!
You don't need special containers at all. The first time I tried this technique, I used two of my biggest tupperware b/c I couldn't fit it all in one, but I also saw a site that used an empty milk jug. I also brewed it into two separate plastic pitchers to chill it. It wasn't until I was aimlessly walking through Target that I found the glass dispenser. Also, if you don't have cheesecloth just use two paper towels folded in quarters. I am really lazy in the morning and there is nothing better than walking straight to the fridge and immediately getting my coffee, let's hear it for instant gratification!....and it will last about 2 months before you have to do it again. Also, you could cut the recipe in half if you have container issues. Thanks for the keurig idea!See More

  • Heather:  Woah! 2 months!! That's amazeballz! Well that's worth it then if it lasts you that long. The Keurig is short term obviously but it does suck that you have to wait for it to get chilled. Guess you have to think ahead. Anyhoo...thanks "Martha" ;)
