Birchbox

Today I officially received my first Birchbox!!  Let the sampling begin.
In case that last statement made absolutely no sense to you, let me explain...
Birchbox is a company that samples beauty products to product junkies like me.  In other words, they are enablers to my addiction.
For a nominal fee a month, you get a present in the mail, you open it up, and it's a box full of goodies awaiting your verdict...
The objective is for you to give reviews on the products you are sent so others will know if it's worth the money to purchase the newest eye cream that will not only make you 10 years younger, but promises that your first born child will be a genius.

My box looked like this..
For May, Birchbox teamed up with the hit show Gossip Girl to sample out New York inspired products.

I don't watch Gossip Girl, so the relevance is lost on me, but I am still up for some fun samples!

Presentation is the key.  Who doesn't love something wrapped in tissue and tied with a ribbon?  It ups the excitement level automatically.
Here are all the goodies that were inside once I got them all unwrapped..
First up, Miracle Skin Transformer Body.  It provides not only sun protection with SPF 20, but also a light moisturizer with a skin perfection tint that cures roughness, hides blemishes and masks scars.  Soon, you will have to avert your eyes when you see me walking down the street cause my skin will be glowing with perfection....  I hope...  It would be pretty awesome if it did anyway, I guess we will see.

Next out of the box is Color Club Summer Pastels Collection in Clambake Coral.  I have to admit that I am going to be a pretty hard sell with any nail lacquer and hair care products since I have access to some of the best products on the market today.  None the less, this is a pretty color and I am always excited to see if it lives up to the hype.
I am going to cover the next three products at once.  Kerastase has a Cristalline Collection that is geared for long hair.  I received samples of the shampoo, Bain Cristal, the conditioner, Lail Cristal, and Cristalliste Liquide, which is a leave-in treatment to smooth split ends, add shine and is weightless for longer lengths.  Let me just say there are a thousand different products just like this on the market, so it will be interesting to see what, if anything, will set this apart.
Next is Algenist Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer with Alguronic Acid.  I have no idea what Alguronic Acid is other than they tell me it is from the ocean or something.  All I know is that not only am I going to have glowing skin, I will look 10 years younger too....how exciting!!

I also received a sample of a Birchbox note card...
Kinda cute, but I think if you have a stamp set and some card stock, you can make something just as cute.

Well, that's it for the Birchbox, I now have to go slather on my potions to see how well they work.  I'll let you know if there is anything you shouldn't be living without.
